Artist Statement
I created a peaceful underwater scene of a manatee and her baby swimming in sparkling water surrounded by small sea life to incorporate my vision of the ocean’s beauty. The bottom portion of the chair has sand and shells to imitate the ocean ground. The tip of the chair has a bit of sea form that sparkles to imitate the ocean’s sparkle. This is meant to be a serene, maternal painting set in the ocean.
